Author, Columnist, Veteran Banker & Trainer and Consumer Rights Activist - Addoor Krishna Rao has played several roles in his distinguished service to the society.
As Founder - President of “Organic Farmer Consumer Forum, Mangaluru” he spear-headed “Poison-less Food Movement” in Mangaluru, Karnataka State, India. Now he is guiding the movement as Honourary President of OFCF (R.)
As Author:
He has authored 25 books. “Manassina Magic” and "Ullasakke Daari Nooraru" are the most popular Kannada books written by him on “Mind Management”. “Mojina Ganita” and “Manaranjanegagi Beejaganita” are the 2 books on Mathematics translated by him from English to Kannada.
As Columnist:
He wrote “Bahudhanya”, a fortnightly column (published on alternative Mondays) for 17 years in “Udayavani”, Kannada newspaper.
As Veteran Banker:
He served erstwhile Corporation Bank, a Public Sector Bank, for 37 years since 1978 in various positions. 
As Veteran Trainer:
In the Bank, he served Apex Staff Training College as Veteran Trainer in Banking and Behavioural Science. He is a reputed Trainer for Bank PO and Clerk Selection Tests since 1978.
As Consumer Activist:
As Convener of “Consumer Forum, Mangaluru (Regd.)” since 1980, he has trained thousands of people about their Consumer Rights and guided them in solving their consumer problems. He has written two books on Consumer Rights and edited “Facilitators’ Manual on Good Governance.” (465 pages)
 
Since 2010, he is convener of “sampada.net”, which is a leading on-line community portal dedicated for the cause of Kannada language. It is available as "Sampada Kannada" Free App since 2020.
 
After retirement in 2015, he is serving as Approved Valuer and HRM & Management Consultant. He is Founder Secretary of "Association Of Valuers (R.)"
 
As Director of COBSETI, Self-Employment Training Institute in Chikmagalur, he guided thousands of youth in taking up self-employment ventures. 
 
As Convener of “Farm Experience Club” and Secretary of “Kannada Sangha, Mangaluru” (for more than a decade each) he served the cause of farmers and Kannada language.
